The above referenced East Mountain Weather Statistics reflect an area east of Albuquerque on the other side of the Sandia Mountains. The elevation in this area is about 2,000 feet higher than Albuquerque and terrain is mountainous or rolling hills.

Areas in the East Moutains include Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Sandia Park, Edgewood, the Paa-ko Golf Community, San Pedro. The Turquoise Trail which runs through most of the East Mountains goes north all the way to Santa Fe.
