SANTA FE ACTIVITIES
Commonly known as Santa Fe, the actual name of this city is La Villa Real de Santa Fe – the Royal Town of Santa Fe. First established in 1608, Santa Fe is the oldest continuous capital in the United States.
Santa Fe is an enchanting city to visit and was recently named by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the top two cities to visit in the United States. One enjoys the seasons from the kaleidoscope of color of spring flowers to the snow blanketed adobe walls. The town is centered on a historic plaza. On one side of the plaza you will see Native American artisans selling their works. This is "El Portal" which is sanctioned by the Museum of New Mexico.
SANTA FE MUSEUMS
Georgia O'Keeffe Museum
O'Keeffe's images—often instantly recognizable as hers—include large-scale flowers, New York cityscapes, animal bones, and the high deserts and dramatic cliffs of her beloved New Mexico. A visit to this museum is needed to truly appreciate this important artist as the common reproductions of her work do not convey the color and wonder of her work. If you are not currently a Georgia O'Keeffe fan, you will be after viewing this amazing collection.

September Zozobra - Fiestas de Santa Fe
The Fiesta has been celebrated in Santa Fe since 1712. It is a celebration of the re-taking of Santa Fe by Spain after the Pueblo revolt. It is the oldest celebration of its kind in North America. Zozobra, or Old Man Gloom, is a hideous but harmless fifty-foot bogeyman marionette. Every year we do him in to kick off the year's fiesta. We string him up and burn him down in a blaze of fireworks. At last, he is gone, taking with him all our travails and hardships for another whole year. http://www.zozobra.com/
